Need to know how to add samples in FL Studio?
This short guide will have you and your brand-new samples up and running right away. Follow the steps below for a quick and useful guide on how to install sample packs in FL Studio.
How To Add Samples in FL Studio
Step 1
First, create a folder on your hard drive to store your samples and make it somewhere easy to find when you want to add more in the future. We recommend pinning it to quick access if you’re a Windows user, this will make it easy to drag and drop new packs from your downloads folder to your sample one.

Step 2
Inside FL Studio you want to navigate to “options” and then “file settings” which will bring the menu forward.

Step 3
Pick one of the folder icons under “browser extra search folders” to bring up a Windows file explorer. From there navigate to your samples folder directory, select the folder then click “OK” to set the location inside FL Studio. You can close out of this window now.

You’re done!
You have successfully added your sample pack to FL Studio which can be accessed from the browser. Just drag and drop one onto the channel rack or playlist and you’re good to go!
